IN-STUDIO DESIGN CONSULTATION
If you opt to reach out to me via the contact form and want to book a session as soon as possible online (without a pre-session consultation), you will still have the opportunity to come in for a design consultation prior to your session! This is a perfect time to chat about outfits, colors, session inspiration, view all of the product samples, and receive a welcome folder with more information. I will also be able to answer any other questions you may have for me. This step I've found to be crucial in creating a custom session of your dreams that you and your family will love for years to come.

CONSULTATION
The best part of the whole process, the day of your session! Whether it's a golden hour sunset to enjoy with your kids or a couple of hours to relax in the studio while I work with your newborn, the session is where your entire vision comes to life. After your session, we will part ways for about an hour while you grab something to eat and then meet up again for your ordering appointment, where you will be able to view your images for the first time and place your order! Any digital files purchased will be fully retouched and delivered within 1-2 weeks and product orders will be available for pickup within 4-6 weeks. Do you provide the cake?
Yes! Cakes are included in all first birthday sessions if you choose to include one. The design of the cake is something we will go over together during your design consultation.
Are family or sibling photos included in the session?
Absolutely! This is a big milestone for your baby, and I believe that it deserves to be celebrated with everyone he or she loves the most! Siblings and parents are more than welcome to be included in the session.
Do you offer themed sessions (Disney, characters, etc)?
I currently offer simple sessions that are congruent with what's pictured in my portfolio. All first birthday sessions are photographed on a white or cream backdrop with a balloon garland and cake (if you choose to include one) as well as multiple outfits.
Do I need to bring the balloons? Can I bring my own decorations?
Balloon garlands are included in every session at no extra charge! We will discuss colors that will work with your chosen color scheme at your design consultation and I will have it put together for you before your session. You are welcome to bring any additional decorations you'd like to include, though they are not required.
Do I need to bring outfits for the baby?
I have everything you could possibly need at the studio including a client closet of outfits, high end props, headbands, hats, accessories, and even the basics such as diapers, sterilized pacifiers, and a bottle warmer. Unless there's something specific you want to bring, all you need to bring is yourself and the baby!

What happens if my baby is fussy?
It's common for one year olds to have separation anxiety when their parent sets them down on a photo set and walks away. Snacks and distractions are my go-to, but if those aren't working, sometimes I will have a parent sit on the set with them for a few minutes to help them get used to the new environment.
